Ran around 25 minutes this afternoon up and down a mountain trail. More stairs! but lots of ice and snow, so had to slow down a lot. Nice trail though.

hit the gym when I got to the Hotel.

    1x CFWU

    Deadlifts 5+5+5+5+5
    45lbs, 115lbs, 135lbs, 135lbs, 135lbs
No weights other than 45lbs and 35lbsat the gym. So stayed with 135lbs and focussed on form. But, it felt HHEAAAVY!

    Did the Mashup WOD after.

    For time: 2 rounds of
    20 high jumps (touching ceiling)
    20 DB swings- 35lbs
    20 walking lunges
    20 Situps (straight legs)
    20 Double unders
    20 jumping pullups
    20 Good mornings (25lbs bar)
    20 Thrusters- 45lbs
    20 Burpees (gross and slow)
    20 Double unders

    Time: 20:34

holer wowser. I wanted to die! I was wearing my big lululemon pants and a tshirt.. which i’m not use to. Amazing how my travelling drains me though. I felt it tonight. Those 135lbs Deadlifts felt unusually heavier than usual. And every ounce in me felt tired before starting the wod, but I pushed through and I will enjoy a good rest day tomorow. oooh yeah

Awesome Janine! You are very dedicated! Not many people can do that while traveling. In fact, most people use it as an excuse to just eat at restaurants and add a few pounds. Great job!!
Enjoy the rest of your stay in NFLD! My husband is a Newfie which makes my 2 little ones part Newfie!!

Fitness in a 100 words:

■ Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat. ■ Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast. ■ Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow. Routine is the enemy. Keep workouts short and intense. ■ Regularly learn and play new sports.
